Default Counter attacking 2018/19 and 4-3-3

So, as we have read Ricketts wants to go for a more of a counter attacking approach to the new season which is music to our ears. However do we think that the our most successful formation of 4-3-3 in this division yet is the one that could take us that step further? What do you think? In my opinion with the correct player recruitment and some energy, pace and GOALS up top I think it could be a great cocktail for success. We just need a good front 6!

Counter attacking football requires plenty of pace, something that was lacking last season. It would also suggest that we're not going to dominate games as we soak up pressure and hit them on the break. This may work, as a tactic, in some matches against the top teams but I think we would be better having a quality midfield who can control the match and be creative to unlock teams. I don't know too much about our signing Luke Young but it would seem to fit the bill.

Counter attacking is all fine away from home... But at home really?

Wrexham shouldn't be counter attacking in this division.

Couldn't agree more. Be an interesting game watching us sit deep waiting for the opposition to hoof it to us. Not sure what happens next.

433 is the way to go, but you need the right lads in the wide positions of the front 3.

They make or break that formation.

I think Holroyd would work well wide in a front 3.

433 tends to end up 451 with one lonely forward trying tio take on the opposition defence on his own
