Their is no magical solution to finding a prolific goalscorer without bags of money, because if by chance we did find a kid from even lower leagues than us, the first club to wave a few fivers at us and we would let him go, in other words it's not just finding one but holding on to him for a season.

correct, so we get them sign a contract then after 3mnths when theyve bagged 10,15 goals, the commuting is killing him,so being a club that doesnt want a player who doesnt want to be here, we cancel contract and hope he gets a club on his doorstep, good luck to him came the cry

As part of our match preparation, I believe that all of our matches are recorded (please correct me if I am wrong). So there will be 46 league matches from last season alone.

I'm sure he will have watched at least some of them. And he could take the shortcut of asking the likes of Darlington to suggest players for him to watch.

OneLoveWrexham - I don't know how much you get to matches, but for the sake of argument lets say you get to all the home games. That's 23 matches which you watched without the benefit of being able to pause, rewatch parts, think "oh he looks good let's watch the match again and follow him" etc..

I'm assuming you can name a player down here.

So why couldn't Ricketts be able to do the same?

It says Mills is from Oxford area so probably not much chance of attracting him here.
A player like this is worth a punt IMO so lets hope Sam has his finger on the NL pulse.

There are plenty of players out there that IMO we should be interested in.
