Just 3? I’d say it’s more like 5 or 6. We’ve zero defensive cover, no decent wingers, are short in centre midfield and need proven quality up front.

He’s got a ton of work to do to make us competitive. Like you say injuries to two key players and we’re screwed.

It appears Tharme has returned after training with Barnsley so with 1 more signing as cover we should be OK.

We have 3 CM for 2 places in a 4231 formation and then there is always Carra

We are definitely short of a goal scorer and another creative player to play in the 3 behind the main scorer.

Broadly I agree with you Phil but if we need a defensive midfielder when we are say 2-0 up then he can do a job but as overall cover as a starter then I completely agree.

I disagree. There is no job as a midfielder that he can do. I’ve witnessed his hiding far too many times.
It’s best just to let him push Roberts and Jennings for the fb positions. Last time he started at LB he was better than Jennings for example.
