Comedy Gold, it’s to do with what we are can/willing to pay and the length of that contract we offer. We get the standard of players/manager to what we pay for and it’s as simple as that. Why have our last two managers been inexperienced although managers with experience applied. It’s the same in any business, when I have a vacancy in work those that apply with experience want more money than those without any experience.

Just look at our transfer window signings if you want to know if we are willing to pay enough to get quality players to challenge at the top. We all knew the team needed additional quality for us to maintain a challenge and while our competitors brought in quality we brought in unwanted players from below us.

I think being a fan owned club is the problem, with a rich backer he could always sweeten the deal by bunging the player a wad of cash tax free.

If a player refused to sign for any club that has negative fans they'd be signing on down the job centre.

The negativity on here is sometimes unwarranted but it's hardly unique to Wrexham.

Wxm must have somw form of scouting system. Crewe are keen to prise away a kid, who goes to school in Nantwich a mile or so from their Academy.

Most forums are the same as far as I can tell. The majority are generally sensible then you have a loud minority for which nothing is ever going to good enough, pop shot after pop shot, rinse and repeat, then a few who will try to defend the un-defendable. Some get so set in their ways, or ever give any ground in a discussion that people will see only black and white rather than shades of grey which is how it usually is. It makes for boring/annoying reading at times but everyone has the right to post what they want, just be prepared to get called out on your points and discuss them. This forum is very active and much better than most others I've seen as much as it grinds my gears at times. Sometimes we forget we're all here for the same reason and it descends into pettiness or ott statements at times, myself included.
