Yes it's a gamble, but how many times have we seen other clubs in our league with strikers picked up from smaller clubs who have been excellent, and moved on to bigger and better things, and are now out of our price range. As a club we need to be picking up these players from smaller clubs too.

Agree with this! Regardless of how people feel the signing/announcement was handled, I doubt anyone will be particularly bothered by that if he ends up scoring enough goals to fire us up the league and/or get a big money move.

If he turns out to be out of his depth then blame the manager.

I am still hoping for some quality signings this week and next week. No inside knowledge just if we are to compete we still require some decent signings.
