whatever way you look at it signing a player as our new number 9 is a big deal regardless of how good or bad (without seeing him play) you think he is. Surely it would be worse if the club did it as an afterthought. Would really welcome him to the club that.

6' 3", quick and a bit of a beast, I love him already. Been screaming out for the like for years. I, for one, am happy we are not paying stupid money for a reputation. He'll have to show a whole lot of character though, he's probably freaked out already by the frothing around here. Keep smiling Sam, I do believe you will have the last laugh.

The way it came across, the photo, the lighting, the fact that number 9 is such an iconic number for a centre-forward.

Give the lad a chance is all we can do. Agree not the most overwhelming of signings, but looking at the clips available which I know are cherry picked, shows a big lad with a good touch and plenty of pace which is what we have been after for some time now. I can understand the negativity to a point but it's a bit OTT in my opinion as is the slating of the media team for over hyping the signing by sending out one tweet an hour before the signing was announced??!! I wish Mike all the best with us and believe he could be a real find. Only time will tell.

Every few minutes of every day, people check into RP for any updates. Then the constant moaning about no updates/news from the club.
So, they give advanced warning to check at 11am.
Handy if you want to save checking or in work sneaking a quick look at your phone.
And still people moan and have a Naymar type faux rage and indignation.

Relegated clubs often lose their best players. Maybe Sam thinks his signing would be welcomed by a decent set of fans and develop into a cracking striker who responds to good support, but looking at your comment maybe he was wrong.

Let's back the lad, I remember the first time I saw Pogba with a couple if air shots thrown in. You have got to show some faith in the coach's assessment that he is a decent prospect. We are not going to get proven goal scorers at the top of their game, ahead of NL teams, without breaking the bank or paying massively over the odds, there has to be an element recognising potential and working with it i.e. Akil Wright.

If the lad has ability, hunger and wants to do well, then he will do for me.
