But the board are also supporters so they can't hide behind the excuse of out of touch with the supporters can they?

If the game does go ahead then us supporter's should do the sensible and decent thing and boycott the game. It's only a pre-season kickabout so stay away.

Saying that to interfere with the playing side and effectively undermine your staff is also I guess not great. Tough call I can see which on balance I think they got wrong but as always took the decision as felt best for the club.

I will be honest I wouldn't have gone anyhow but would be happy donating the ticket price to the Bangor City Supporters Association/Trust. I feel great sympathy for them.
I think a big issue for the board is that neither Stephen Vaughan Senior or Junior are 'officially' involved in the management or running of the club, either in the capacity as director or a person with significant control. Similarly, they have no 'official' interest in Vaughan Sports Management either.

In my mind, they are fearful of making a stand based on the Vaughan's involvement as unless they were very careful, it would be tantamount to accusing Vaughan of being a shadow director and could result in legal action being taken.

I still believe, however, that the board could have acted earlier and pulled this friendly citing other reasons, or indeed not have agreed to it in the first place.

Isn't that just understanding different view points rather than 'having it both ways'?

Vaughan Jr is Director of Football according to his Twitter account.

You may be right in principle but these are clearly moral issues. Plus, in the case of Resolution E , a binding vote directing the WST board how to act.

Yup, this is true. Vaughan Sports Management owns more than 50 per cent of the club, but is listed under the name of his daughters who are clearly big fans of Welsh football.

Hard to find much sympathy for Bangor City as a club for ever getting mixed up with the Vaughan's - unbelievable really given their past - eventually it will be left to the average fans in the street to save the club from it's embers - until they break away from the Vaughan's then they are likely to be dragged down further - but with over 50% control of the club it maybe too late.

Apologies, I meant 'Director' as in some one who has an interest or control of the company. Director of football is just a job title as Vaughan and holds no shares and is not an officer of the company in any capacity.

I realise that the reality is probably very different to the actual company structure.
