That's fair with Deverdics in the more forward role than Young or Carrington. However my other points still stand.

Just viewed video / photo coverage.
The second goal was scored as a tap in by Pearson after an aerial duel between their keeper and Manny Smith which the Airbus bench were claiming was a foul.

Thought Deverdics looked a different player today - more central and advanced - a much better performance.

Looked ok, against an airbus side missing 4 and the no 5 is a trialist centre half who is a bouncer in town. Tougher tests to come

Thought Fondop took his goal well and his link up play looked good

Too early to judge especially with limited opposition but I thought the players were understanding of the formation for the most part and had a few nice phases. It shows the work on the training ground is going well so hopefully that continues.

Difficult to judge against that level of opposition but Deverdics looked good in the central of the 3 in the 4-2-3-1 formation.

Agree that it was a game of two halves, Airbus were never in it in the first half we played some good football, but we need more game time. In the second half with the younger players we created lots of chance and should have scored three or four goals, Sadly there was no one who had the ability to put the ball in the net, Airbus did come into the game a little, but never really looked like scoring. A good work out nevertheless we can only get better, However, I still believe we need another striker.

Worrying though is that despite the odd moment from Fondop , we seem short in terms of genuine quality up front.
I'm one who still rates young Leo,and hope he gets a chance. How and where, did he and Deverdics play?.
