I've got no major issues with anyone who has signed, but the big sell for a tiny squad was meant to be the quality in it and that really doesn't match what we've got.

I guess it depends if Sam is now finished on the forwards recruitment or of we still have scope to bring in someone that has or can score goals at this level.
If as we are led to believe loan players 'don't cost us that much' as vindicated by some then I would expect the budget is still there for the 'star attraction'.

Also, signing strikers who have a good goals to game ratio across multiple seasons at this level seems a pretty good idea to me (and most).

How would you have felt if we signed Cook last season instead of Massanka? Surely getting the youth Prem player on loan is the smarter move as Cook is just a 'pub player'?
We could not afford Cook...Hewas probably lined up for football league club already.
As already pointed out previously this is a loan and will be covered by parent club...
Aside from this is Pyke a creator ,sets them up ,stretches defences player ? Yet
Does anyone know ? He may do some of that as a striker

If he's costing us nothing then that raises some serious questions about what our budget is this season. We were promised quality signings and we have what three permanent signings, one of which is his first contract.

How many full times did we release last season?

If that's the case then I expect to see a quality frontman come in, otherwise we need to sell the club to the most suitable buyer or change something ffs

You're beginning to sound like foxy. Nobody wants to buy an assetless money drain. get used to it.
