New signing - Pyke on loan

But we all knew that Ricketts was planning on bringing in a couple of loan signings, so why are people so surprised?

I agree that Miller did look really good for us last season but I think he'll go to at least a league 1 club. Not surprising you don't remember Pyke though, he only made one start, away at Lincoln and 2 sub appearances before injuring his ankle.

Why? That's normally how development loans work.

It's ony a huge risk if we are relying on him being our only and main striker, which although I'm not certain of, I'm pretty sure he won't be.

I normally go to the Lincoln games but for the life of me I cannot remember him.

Miller that's the lads name. Really did like the look of him. Shame we couldn't have had him for the rest of the season.

I think you mean George Miller from Middlesboro who then went on loan to Bury scoring 8 in 19 games.

I remember seeing Pyke play for us at Sutton in December 16 and was not particularly impressed, other than he was quick. However he is now 18 months older so let's hope he has improved and better able physically to cope with NL football.
