No it's not.

It smacks of being a shambles if I'm honest - the one day we could really promote our club - a potential chance to draw in new supporters and get them joined up to the WST - an opportunity for sponsorship to be sought, invites to local companies to see what it's all about. And with the widespread media attention on the World Cup this year of all years with high public interest in the national game we should have pushed the boat out in a big way.

Some fans would actually diary this event if it was advertised in advance - and fit other commitments around it but we don't seem to realise this. Our fanbase stretches far and wide - way beyond the general Wrexham area.

Whilst continually fundraising and putting the begging bowl out at every opportunity we just don't help ourselves.

It's one day a year - it needs to be a weekend day and notified to the fanbase properly well in advance - sadly this happens with regular frequency and we are missing out.

Great post. This needs to be shown to those on the board responsible for this. I cannot see any justification for the inactive and unproffesional approach shown.

Not on our website (at least, when I checked on my mobile last night, it’s nowhere obvious.) Search for our Twitter account name and open day doesn’t bring up any information on Twitter. Forget the Leader, there’s no reason not to have basic info on there as soon as it’s decided.

As for two weeks being plenty of time, I’m sure it is for some people, especially if they live close and don’t work Monday nights. If they’re further away, or if they need advance warning to try and swap shifts, then surely the more notice they have the better?

I have to agree - The chance to take youngsters to 'score' at the racecourse while getting a glimpse of their hero's from last season and a view of new signings is very motivational.

There could be stalls from WST and even RP - Throw a wet sponge at Birdy anyone ?

Surely the club is in a better position to promote the open day than random RP posters?

Advert released today. You could rescue a trapped Thai football team from a cave in two weeks but can't organise a trip to an open day.
