It could have already been in hand. The club has been away in Portugal most of the week.

Should have been done before they went then - and on a Sunday.

It's called planning ahead - still we had time to arrange a game with 'Vaughan Promotions' run Bangor City so got our priorities in the right order

Why are you mocking people who would like to see our club give fans more notice, to maximise the number of people who can attend? Having more supporters is a GOOD thing, surely?!

There probably will but we just might be in exactly the same boat - very late notification and stuck on an insignificant Monday night where much of the fanbase from out of town especially with children wont be in a position to attend and support it.

The circumstances surrounding this years open day are far from unique - the club do it on a frequent basis. The alternative would be to set a date prior to the schools closing for the summer holidays, issue notifications and get the kids flocking to the ground with their parents and grandparents in tow. Put it on a weekend and fit other events around it - there is another thread appealing for sponsors at the disabled supporters viewing platform - perhaps again a proper open day could allow people to visit and view the facilities and perhaps offer some sponsorship.

I believe it was announced at the agm. It happens every year. There is a game on the Saturday on a new pitch perhaps they want to give it a days rest.
