When the war ended the proper league programme resumed - crowds at many sporting events were massive in 1946 and onward, people starved of football flooding through the turnstiles in numbers - I will stick my neck out and say that's when we changed to the red & white kit.

It was a nice purple number. Hopefully we get to see more of it in the future as it was a cracking kit. The actual away shirt that was voted for is white.

It was a general observation rather than strictly a comment on the recent kit. However purple is alright.

As long as its not a blueish purple.
