Id assume that Darlo must be having his input on our formation and shape
He knows the players better than Sam and even the league to some extent
We cant go wrong , can we ?

Along with GB he was sat on the bench sat, I have to say also looking at that point both never offered any support on the touchline at all to SR only JJ showed some interest at times encouraging the players no change of shape the game just petered out. This also alarms me our no2 just sits it out while SR is struggling to the fact there does not seem much staff/team spirit out there, might be wrong but its a big factor in a team game which was always clear with AD backing DK on the touchline its called passion.

It is more likely they were taking it in and had a conversation with SR afterwards about their thoughts.

[QUOTE=pagl;2165943]Bit puzzled by the sudden change in formation from SR to a 451 from 4231.
Regardless of playing Wright as a makeshift CB surely the formation has to be Young & Summerfield looking to play and dominate around the centre circle which is basically playing a higher formation than having Wedgbury as a 3rd CB.

Watching from the halfway line it was definatley 4231 on Sat. Young and Carra were in front of the back 4. Telford played 4132 which I think is a much better formation, giving you 5 rather than 4 attacking players.

Whenever you play 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1, there’s often a mistrust that you’re playing one up front or playing a negative 4-5-1. The idea is you’re 4-5-1 out of possession and 4-3-3 when attacking.

However, key to this is the instructions given to the wide men.

When fans mention its a 451 this is resulting in you getting outplayed and on the defensive more than offensive which is what I witnessed sat.

Well ive watched three friendlies now and its been the same and whatever they might take in and discuss later is not making any difference at the moment which again is worrying. Reacting to the game as its going on in front of your eyes is surely better to change things and get a result?

For all you know, Barrow has identified players that he believes Ricketts needs to replace. Just because he didnt jump up and down and shout about it doesnt mean it isnt happening.
