Re: #Weareoneteam
Media team need to have a look at themselves. As for asking fans groups to donate for a few of them to go to Portugal is a joke too. Probably plugged in the chargers on the cameras and got a free holiday. How many went out, 6? A lot of tweets that is

Re: #Weareoneteam
When making decisions think its always helpful to look at the stats to understand territorial control.
Currently #wxmafc has 1486 public posts and 100% are about wrexham afc #weareoneteam has 9417 public posts and 3% about wrexham afc #wearewrexham has 20 public posts and 100% are related to Wrexham. Whenever you use a tagline such as Nike's Just Do It, it needs to be so powerful that the audience immediately recognises it and connects the phrase with the brand. This creates territorial control and cements the brand ethos. To do this it needs to be unique and non generic. Eg not something everyone else is doing. A tagline also needs to appeal to your target audience and make them feel completely aligned to the brand ethos, values and culture. If they don't identify with, then it will make them feel confused, alienated or just turn them off. From my own observation, the greatest taglines I have ever seen around football are the ones the fans have created themselves with banners and flags standing on the terraces. I personally don't hate #weareoneteam I just don't think its very good because its generic and it creates no identity for Wrexham which is the unique name of our club, our town. Taking this route is also like being a follower. Many others have already done this 'one team' thing in business culture, in sport and in football. When your a follower you appear to be on the back foot. Leaders are the ones who lead the field. Wrexham AFC needs to be great in every department if we are going to genuinely create a club / brand culture where the fans, players, managers and board are all excited by our vision/ethos and our football team is actually good enough on the pitch to deserve the success we all want.

I have said some similar things over the last 3 years but not summed up so well in 1 post. Define our ethos, our brand, define key strategies and goals and then plan to deliver them. |
