Deverdics-looks lot happier in centre mid.
Leo Smith - good crossing and excellent assist. With more minutes should develop.
Sargent- looks very composed and comfortable on the ball.
Trialist centre half-looked slightly better than Tharme.

Negatives -
Carrington-passed sideways a few times but offered nothing going forward.Passed few times to Bangor too-showed why team improved last season when taken out of midfield.
Summerfield-tried hard but not a patch on Young.Hopefully will get better.
Rutherford-Head-down and ran a lot but again no goalscoring threat whatsoever.
Pyke-quiet game but did nothing wrong.Hope gets a bit closer to goal as imagine better goalscorer than Rutherford and quicker.
Wright -quiet game but another with not much football in 2018.
There wasn't a trialist centre half playing.

That’s not support, it’s just a self centred sense of importance that they feel they have because they go through the turnstiles regularly.
My observations are merely based on financial support for the club (which king Phil misunderstood). I do not claim to be a better fan because I have a season ticket but I have one because I believe it provides much needed revenue for the club and guarantees me a seat with friends. In respect of negative posting on here I could not care less and I very much doubt SR and the team do either. Frankly if people do not like the way some post on RP then perhaps its better to stay off. There is some negativity and some who are overtly positive but isn't that a forum ?

Roughly, how many Wrexham fans braved public opinion, and attended last nights friendly with Bangor City?

People seem to think that just because we have the same back four we will have the best defence.
Defence is not just about defenders it is about how the team is set up to play, formation, and the midfield in front of it.

We struggled to score goals because we were built to be solid first and then nick a goal later. If we tried to open up to score we often conceded.

Having Deverdicks in midfield is good for creating chances, but is he going to provide any cover for the CBs?

Wedgebury going was a huge blow as he covers every inch of pitch. We will need to replace the tackles he puts in every game.

At a guess I'd say maybe 300. There were 600 there and there were quite a few Wrexham there.

I would say it will be limited. I know last season he was out on the wing but he drifted out of the games way to easily.

He's playing in an advanced role right behind the striker so I would hope he isn't going to be covering the CBs.

We have two deep lying centre midfielders who I imagine would be performing that role and from what I've seen, we seem to be pressing in numbers rather than just having one player running all over the pitch a la Wedgebury.

Also noticed that when we attack down the wing, the full back will push high whilst the one on the opposite side drops deep alongside the CBs forming a back 3 allowing Young to push up.

I like the sound of that. The only game I could have attended was Bangor which I decided not to attend for obvious reasons so its nice to hear some positives.

Bangor were trying to win the match. Wrexham were trying new combinations and more players out. Which is what good teams do preseason. Sommerfeild was class. Mike fondop was lively. Bangor played like it was the only chance to beat WREXHAM and made too many bad challenges throughout the game. Their no8 went way ott and was subbed by Harrison. Another guy was sent off. But Ricketts was sporting and wanted to see a 11-11 challenge for his players.
