Oh I agree, he's dropped the ball with this, the only positive is that we do have 2 weeks left to get some bodies in, there is still some decent players not fixed up hopefully Barrow is getting in Sams ear.

A week is a very long time on football, we just have to hope that this has given Sam a shake up, I'd like to think Graham Barrow will be the main man for recruitment.

It is a big week. But i am not sure what we fans are expecting?..We have 2 friendlies against teams in leagues above us..Of course the results are not that important its about fitness but pyscholgically if we to lose both it will put us on the back foot for the new season. Will SR bring in the quality in he has promised? Who knows i have given up listening to the propaganda that comes out of the racecourse. Its all so similar to Morrell/Mills/Keates same statements.

With playing 1 up top I think 2 winger/strikers wouldnt be out of the realms of possibility. I like Rutherford but hes not the quality we need starting if we're going to make a challenge. He's perfectly fine to bring on and see the game out.

True. There are no quality players left .

SR has spent the summer waiting for the quality and it doesn’t exist. This is what will happen next .....

The club will talk about possible signings in the January window. When the window opens , the messaage will be that the best signings become available at the end of January; at the end of January we will sign on loan a couple of players with potential who are trying to recapture fitness. These players will have no impact whatsoever and the season will tail out into a damp squib. At this point, various club apologists will talk about a two year ( or perhaps one million year ) plan and how we are just lucky to have a club - after all, remember Toss and Robber and all that.

Then it all starts again and expect some miserable friendly performances at Lex , Northwich and Wellington in July 2019.
