Re: Big Week Ahead
No one's claiming him to be god like. He's good at what he does but he can only do so much with the quality we have. He does coaching courses with the FAW and is only here once a week. He doesn't have to be here at all, he does it because he loves the club.

Re: Big Week Ahead
All some posters are saying is that Carl doesn’t have to be here but loves the club which is no different to loving it and paying £20 to watch as he used to do. Cushy job is it preparing courses for the likes of Martinez, Henry and Vieta? That was a silly comment

Re: Big Week Ahead
Our first 3 matches are all tough ones, I can see us propping up the bottom of the league. It doesn't hold good for the rest of the season. I see Barrow in charge by Christmas!!

Re: Big Week Ahead
Sam Ricketts was recommended by a mate (Darlington) and ratified by another mate (Flynn) with absolutely no pedigree whatsoever. I do hope I’m wrong but this seems to be another blunder of an appointment. Lord knows what the £1.25 million will be spent on.............

Re: Big Week Ahead
In terms of last season’s squad, we have lost:
Chris Dunn, James Hurst, Marcus Kelly, Sam Wedgbury, Jack Mackreth, Scott Boden ...and replaced them with: Rob Lainton (loan), Luke Young, Luke Summerfied, MFT, Rekiel Pyke (loan). Unless the playing budget has been reduced, we’re a couple of players shy |

His pedigree with a) his playing career; and b) his early coaching career at Wolves. This “pedigree” is markedly better Keates’. “Another blunder of an appointment”? Like whom? In my opinion each managerial appointment has been sound, on paper. |

Re: Big Week Ahead
He's a calculated risk like all the others before him, including players.
None of us on here know the variables and changing circumstances involved in getting players in so let's sit tight and see where we are when the season is a dozen matches old. We're football fans and will soon pipe down if we're top 3 by Christmas.
