When he first signed I was skeptical of him. Relatively new to the league, didn't play much for a relegated team and hadn't played full-time before. He also looked a little bit iffy when I'd seen him for other sides - namely in the away match to Guiseley. I'm happy to say, so far, he's proved me wrong.

Whilst he isn't the finished product, I'm glad he's here. He's strong, quite quick and good in the air - what you want in a National League striker and he seems to know where the net is.

He's going to be one of those players who is always a threat and won't be bullied around by the sh*t-kickers of the league.

He'll be our top scorer next season, I'm almost certain of it. How many goals he gets is up in the air though. And judging by the way he always seems to get involved in altercations, he might also challenge James Jennings for most cards this season too.

Fondop does seem like one of those players who'll either be great or be awful. He won't have an average 5/10 game.

Obviously wait and see a few league games but I have a very good feeling about 'big Mike'.

When all else fails, high balls into the box can be a points saver - he certainly looks as though he'll get a challenge in those circumstances.

I hope he settles down and develops his game with us.

He's not terrible but he's clearly got something wrong with him and it's worth bearing in mind that he was in one of the shittest teams I've ever seen, playing for a hopeless manager.

If you could work out what's wrong with him based on his first few games he absolutely could come good but prior to Guiseley he seemed to be mainly knocking around various conference south clubs which isn't inspiring.

Before last season he was playing part time in the south, because as well as playing football, he was also studying full time for a degree (for which he got a first).
