Excuses already being made before a balls been kicked, it's getting embarrassing the longer we're in this league.

When is enough enough and we forget about trying to out spend rivals and look at an alternative? We will never compete under our current ownership with the big spenders, whatever the league, someone will always have more money.

The problem Gigi is there is no alternative - unless of course you can suggest one?

Presumably you are talking about this 'non existant' multi millionaire who can't wait to pump millions into the club?

Actually scouting the lower leagues, the CoE, with it suggested we may have FIFA rules on our side.

Instead we'll likely waste the Ward cash getting nowhere fast, we need to try and create more such football fortune. We don't seem to be doing it, no excuses for not getting in a scout with the Ward money. It's sickening how many players who now play in the English league we've missed out on from the Welsh Premier League

For me, this would be a much better use of at least part of the Ward money than spending it all on the first team.

Did I read somewhere or am I imagining that there was a proposal to make the national league the fifth division of the football league which would be three up three down but where would the relegated teams end up?

Let the 10 to 15 fans who had to suffer a crap midfielder on trial in 1991 enjoy their journey without the bitterness
I agree with the necessity of romance in football. To dream a dream. And to have a chance to achieve a miracle. But as you suggest 'massive backing' is not really romantic. That's not bitterness in not having the same massive backing, its just a reflection of the way the beautiful game has gone.

Their maybe no way back and the need for massive backing maybe the only solution, but in my view that necessity has killed the heart of the game. Its statistically so much rarer to see small clubs with little funds succeed in the 21st century.

I hope we bring the Class of 78 out onto the pitch when they bring the Class of 92 into the boardroom. That will show a real example of romance in football.

Maybe the Board actually have it right this time , Ricketts first Management post , 3 year contract , learning by mistakes possibly , if not this season will he carry the experience through to next season and so on . Of course it could equally go wrong again if he has some success and gets picked up by an ex club , it starts again , But from his point of view it's not bad is it , gets to source his backroom staff , solid club , great fans , only way is up really , well it should be .

I agree, but what if we hadn't come down? Would we vote for it then?

Probably had our head in the sand like the others, thinking it will never happen to us.
