That's about average at this level.

Why release Boden then sign the exact same. Quite interested in seeing fondop play tomorrow and the lad from Bristol sounds like a promising option, but overall, not an inspiring preseason. We may have more options up front, we'll know pretty quick.

The loan system has been well used in recent years by a number of promoted sides and why not us ? Once in the FL is the time to earmark some of the additional income for youth development.
Bloody hell; how has Beavan hidden his experience of playing of a top European club and still being at the sumit of the game? He's managed to keep his goal tally very quiet as well.

I like the idea of a 1 yr loan vs a 1 yr permanent deal in terms of:
A) Saving cost
B) reducing liability (a bad injury and we send them back to their parent club
C) Getting potentially better quality (ie these players are at teams higher up the pyramid and likely wouldn’t come to us permanently)

My big concern is the recall option if the parent club has injuries to cover or the players form is so good they decide to use them. Does anybody know (inside knowledge) how our season long loan agreements are set up with regards the recall option?

Agreed , this is a crucial point - no recall then no difference to signing them on a 1 year deal in substance

The posters defending the number of loan signings really are scraping the barrel with their defence of this disastrous summer. All the signs point to us being unable to pay for a quality forward man. I feel sorry for all the fans who donated to BTB as they have been badly let down IMO.

I don't think this is 'clear' at all.

This, I think, was the original plan. The money for the Ward deal is probably separate and yet to be allocated.

The assertion that the Board don't trust SDR is pure speculation and probably wishful thinking on your part.

Ultimately, what is the purpose of your continuing outpourings? Essentially, none of us knows what will happen this season.
