Re: A good season ahead.
I'm excited to see a lot of players I know little about and am prepared to give them a chance. If we can improve on a drab and meek defeat at Dover that would do me. Would take a draw, delighted with a win!

Re: A good season ahead.
The squad is set up to win, lose and draw in equal measures. An average season will be 65 points. A good season will be 75-80+ points. A poor season will be less than 55. A disastrous season will be 45-50 points which would be a relegation fight.

Re: A good season ahead.
I’m not sure the opposition teams are as strong this season...Chesterfield v Tranmere, Barnet v Macclesfield..perhaps Salford coming up and Aldershot have made the usual decent summer signings on paper but as for the others? Was concerned by the Telford performance but encouraged by the Macclesfield one. We’ve missed Pearson in pre-season, not had a stable keeper and we haven’t really seen a gelled striking partnership which is what we have really been missing IMO. Let’s hope for another improvement today against FGR and go forth into the season with optimism as undoubtedly the midfield is stronger and we have more options up top so why can’t we score more than last year and see the job through this time!! COYR!!

Re: A good season ahead.
Until the season kicks off & a minimum of a dozen games are played nobody on here or even in the management team have a clue how we are going to perform or compete.
So many variables, how other teams that were up there last season have strengthened or been weakened, newcomers to the league the Salford Harrogate etc etc. Let's be patient and see how we compete. What strikers did or didn't do at other clubs is irrelevant, one thing is sure we can't get more boring to watch than last season can we? Posted via mobile theme |
