I am more confident this season based on assumption (not fact) that come January given our improved financial situation, we should be in a better position to strengthen where needed.

Not confident of a good start, but can see opportunity to improve

Of course perhaps I'm a little optimistic, but you only live once.

Problem is though in January theres not the greatest amount of quality available as we found out this year. Also clubs now know we have money so are going to put up there process when we come looking. Last fact is there is the Salford effect on transfer fees and any quality we go looking for.

Last year saw improvement from 58 points to 70. This year, we should be in the 80's at minimum with Pearson and Smith back on defense, an upgraded midfield, and a new and improved strike force.

I also believe Ricketts will have the means to make tweaks in the squad or bring in additional depth in January. We should make the playoffs.
