More players next week

Did I hear right during Sam’s interview after Forest Green game that more players where coming in next week?

Hopefully this is when the quality arrives then, the better players are available at the end of the window.

I think he was referring to the players who joined this week.

Personally I think we are good to go. No doubt a few players will join over the season, particularly if we have injuries. Defence looks a little light.

I think our defence will cope in the League this season but only because most teams will not play the ball on the ground like FGR did. If they did we'd be in trouble.
Both goals came through the right back position and we looked ineffective on that flank.
Jennings is a poor excuse for a full back and needs replacing as he is slow to get back and defend.
We are reasonably solid in Centre defence and another week should help Pearson get game fit. I do wish that Manny could head a ball to one of the Red shirted players rather than the opposition.

Agree about our weakness amongst the 2 FBs. Carrington is a better player than both ROBERTS and Jennings, but he clearly cannot replace both. Would SDR play Tharme at LB? Guess we’ll find out on Sat at Dover.

What i like about Ricketts is that he seems to know exactly how he wants his team to play and ypu can clearly see this on the pitch. Being a defender as well I am sure if a playwr isnt carrying put the plan he will get replaced by someone who will.

There are elements of Jennings I like but he gets caught out in possession a lot.

Didn't go yesterday but the same concerns are evident.
The left flank of the team is concerning.
Jennings likes to get forward when he can and that aspect of his game supporting the attack is good - contributing with good runs and crosses.
However something is clearly not right - he does indeed get dispossessed with alarming regularity and instead of making a decisive clearance attempts to play himself out of trouble and comes off second best.
Holroyd for me is not the same player he was last mid season - he has gone right off the boil and at Macclesfield especially first half sat so deep he could have been classed as a defender - but is it Jennings related ?

I am far more confident with the right flank - Roberts and Rutherford at Macclesfield were terrific.

Not a lover of Carrington - he's not a midfielder and will only get a starting place if others are injured - at full back he wont cross the half way line and worst of all he can't or wont move the ball forward - it's always sideways at best or more often than not backwards.

Never seen Jennings have a good game, I think Carrington is much more solid as a left back.

Apart from the fact he is not a left back and doesn't pass the half way line. Whereas jenings has to be our left back and left winger all in one.
