They didn’t even win it ffs. It’d be cringey if Lincoln had done it but at least they won the thing, this is embarrassing.

I'd rather have a star or two wearing the kit myself............

I think that Dale is actually a clever bloke and has a clear brand strategy for his football club, but it is a 'football club' and this sort of thing will always alienate away fans. Who will think he is over confident.

I actually though the veggie pies thing was clever. There is nothing wrong with being unique in an industry that predominately eats meat pies.

Equally the energy efficient, environmental stuff for new football stadia is great and really innovative.

But FGR is a football club and will equally be judged by their success 'on the pitch', which does makes the greyed out stars thing seem a bit self indulgent.

Can you imagine Bill Shankly, Jock Stein or even Sir Alex allowing that ?
I think the whole thing (FGR) is a pile of tosh.
All of the pies, stars, wooden stands, New Lawn, green kit and every other faux environmental friendly gimmicks being nothing more than a substitute for what they haven’t got, and probably never will have..............FANS!

23 stars would be a bit much I suppose

Stars should be for Continental Champions only.

They have recently been accredited by the UN as the first carbon neutral football club. However, I'm sure being carbon neutral comes a lot easier when you have an owner pumping in millions.

How will FFP rules affect their ambitions? I read that League 2 teams can spend 55% of their turnover on wages, but 'turnover' includes donations from the owners to the club and injections of equity (but not loans).

How does Vince finance the club now they're in league 2? Maybe he's finding it more difficult as they were 21st last season.

Of the bankrolled clubs, I have the least problem with FGR. I think some of the stuff they are doing is quite admirable, and that they are doing well in carving out a niche for themselves by being a bit different.
