There will be casualties that's for sure. Prob too early to say who but they need to perform now as I hope Sam will be stronger than DK was in terms of leaving out players that under perform.

Beavan could probably play there. Summerfield and Holroyd as well.

Agree about Pyke.

Would Ricketts have gone for him if he had got JMD earlier on in the season? I doubt it.

I think we'll rotate players more than in previous seasons, obviously if someone is hugely in form they'll keep playing but with so many games, I think Ricketts will be smarter in not burning out players. It should keep players motivated and in better shape. It's just finding the balance between keeping some consistency and not pushing players to exhaustion. The likes of Pyke and Leo may not instantly be involved but they'll get their chances to stake a first 11 place soon enough I would think.

We might actually be able to compete in the trophy and FA cup this season with a bit more depth. Could do with some additional defensive cover but I'd fancy our chances of going a bit further this year.

That will be essential.

Hopefully, SDR has a good idea of players' strengths and weaknesses. They all deserve a chance to prove their worth in competitive games, but if they continually underperform I hope SDR shows them the 'naughty step' and then the door.

We need winners, not losers.
