I myself said out of all the positions that concerns me was the goalkeeping & left back.... But if Lainton proves me wrong to be concerned then brill, I certainly won't be getting onto his back, we ain't going to get a De-gea at non league level, they will make mistakes else they wouldn’t be down here, unfortunately any mistakes a goalkeeper makes is highlighted but if a defender makes one and the goalie gets him out of it, then it's overlooked.

Last season Boden was a scapegoat for a negative team. Watch him prove us wrong for getting rid of him now we are playing attacking football.

He did. Unfortunately there were to many who didn't and he was feeding off scraps. That's last season though. Lets move on.

Has a great trip to Dover apart from some irritating traffic ques darn sarf.
Fish and chip dinner and a couple of drinks in the Cricketers followed by a worthy win.

Not going to give ratings as I thought it was a decent team performance, although I don't think you can take the MOM from big Mike for the winner.

There's still some work to do for Sam to get the team playing better and areas where we can and hopefully will improve. Players waiting for the ball instead of going to meet it and consequently letting the opposition nick it. Some poor options taken with passes rather than keeping it simple, again giving the ball away and can we please get someone to coach Manny how to head a ball to one of our own.
I've always been optimistic about the way Sam has been building the team and he seems to be doing a good job for a "rookie" Maybe now a few more "fans" will get off his back and accept that he knows what he's doing.

We actually looked like we wanted to win, didn't sit back after the goal and were unlucky not to score a second. Daft penalty to give away but decent save from a lazy spot kick kept us, justifiably in front.
Great support from the travelling fans at probably the worst ground I've been to from a spectators point of view, more bloody stantions than I've ever seen before and quite a climb to get to the ground.
The trip home went a lot quicker with 3 points in the bag.

Agree, dropped the ball. Perhaps the referee saw a push on Pearson just before he dropped it...but dubious.
