Dover ratings
Jennings 5 - Worked hard and made some good challenges but did give the ball away a few times, especially at the end which nearly led to a goal for them. Pearson 7 - Solid as ever, was given a rough time however by their forwards known and again. Manny 7 - Same as above Roberts 7 - Did well and put some decent balls into the box. Young 8 - Looks like a proper midfielder that can find space and create chances. Summerfield - 8 Same as young looks like a great signing and looks like we’ve finally got some one that can put a decent ball into the box. Akil 8 - Battled brilliantly and won a lot of challenges. Rutherford 7 - Put some decent balls into the box and worked hard as always. Beavon 6 - Some good touches but wasn’t in the game to much. Fondop 9 - Brilliant skill for the goal, worked his socks off and held the ball up excellently MOTM Subs Maguire-drew -7 looked lively when he came on. Pyke and carrington N/A Overall great first performance with a much more attacking style of play to last season; great support from the fans as ever. |

Re: Dover ratings
Just back, haven't enjoyed An away performance and result as much as that in a long time.
A lot of the southern away games lack atmosphere so big up to our fans today 10/10 it felt like a cup tie atmosphere. Will do a more detailed write up if I have time tomorrow but ratings only for now: Lainton 6 Roberts 7 Jennings 6 Smith 7 Person 7 Summerfield 7 Young 8 Wright 7 Fondop 9 Rutherford 7 Beavon 7 Subs Maguire Drew 6 Pyke and Carra 5 Posted via mobile theme |

Jennings 6 Smith 8 Pearson 7 Roberts 7 Young 7 Summerfield 8 Wright 7 Rutherford 7 Beavon 6 Fondop 8 Much better in possession than last season. The first 25 minutes of the second half we were fantastic although a second goal would have been nice, the end was much more tense than it should have been given the overall performance. Back four played similar to last season. Lainton looked shaky apart from the penalty, still think Dibble should be no 1. Summerfield very industrious but able to pass better than Wedgebury. Big Mike could be a cult hero. Some great touches and a lovely goal but let's see how consistent he is before we get carried away. Overall a very good 3 points. Always been a tough plane to come and coming away with a win going into consecutive home games is great. Also pleasing to see Sam make a positive change early in the second half, bringing on Maguire-Drew clearly intending add to our tally. It didn't come off on this occasion but still a positive. It wasn't until Carrington came on that I thought 'we're shutting up shop' and that wasn't until the last 10. Well done boys.
