Pearson looked and saw the threat from their attacker and blocked his route to challenge Lainton.

Their attacker put his palms all over Pearson, forcing him into Lainton, who caught the ball but couldn't hold onto it as Pearson's back was in the way!

This is a foul on Pearson, but effectively on the goalkeeper also.

Challenges in the box where the keeper get impeded, 9 times out of 10 the ref will blow for a foul on the keeper. We have seen this so many times over the years.

This was slightly different, but still a foul.

The Fondop goal would have brought the house down if it happened at the Racecourse. Great strike, especially to do that given how low the cross was. Very early goal of the season contender.

Good save by Lainton from the pen, the pen itself was one of those 50/50 ones where on another day with a different ref he gets away with it. Unlucky.

Their disallowed goal was for the foul on Pearson. The striker was using him as a jungle gym essentially. Right decision.

Terrible dive for their penality whih I am surprised nobody has commented on. Wright missed both player and ball - though a very lazy swing at the ball, poor by him.

Great penalty save by Lainton, low down to his right.

Very soft foul for their disallowed goal, Lainton gets away with a clanger for dropping it.

2 immediate worries. Penalty was given away in 45th minute and disallowed goal incident in 88th minute and we have got to try and manage the ends of both halves better.
I would like to see us scoring late for once

You’ll see that I’ve already mentioned it. Never a penalty, zero contact when you slow it down.

I liked what Ricketts said after the game. Didn't seem that happy with certain things. I've got a good feeling about this guy.
