No cash also means turnstile operators get to sit and watch the game, they don't have to fanny around with taking thousands in cash to the office through the stadium. Less cash handling lower banking fees and lower insurance. But yeah idiotic.

Glad you have had your question answered though Cenotaff.
Answers my question,so even the Sainsburys stand (or whatever its called now) is cash on the gate ?

I rang the club shop for extra confirmation and was told by the girl on the phone that I had to print them off, rather than take the risk I made a mad dash to the ticket office just incase. I suspect she might be wrong but I don't want to be messing about when I might not be there for kick off as it is.

Right, back to work, hopefully I can finish work quickly, get to the ground before kick off and then hope that nobody is sat in our seats when we do finally get in. I chose specifically the seats wanted so if someone is in them then I'm going to set Mrs Ceno on them, I can assure you that nobody will want that!

I don't like this ticket system tbh. Every time a mate wants to join me (as tonight) he does not get the choice of seats but a random seat is generated which is no good if he wants to sit with the rest of us. He has to keep plodding on until a suitable seat is eventually generated. It all seems unnecessarily complicated and must put a few people off

Try 4 seasons! The same idiot luddite moaners are the same moaners who would moan about the time taken to get into the stand on a cold, pissing down Saturday as people fumble with their wallets and wait for change.

Scanning the ticket off a phone works.

Not a huge fan myself but you can choose the exact seat you want online

But for some weird reason he can't. I have to do it for him and, you are right, I can choose any available seat. It's all a bit weird. Maybe they know he is from Chester

you choose the seat online, but allocated seating is never normally in place for anything but the big games
