Agree, it feels like we are paying too much respect, but I think they work on the basis it limits the space to attack for headers, limits the opposition throwing in short corners or trying to work space on the edge if the box. We can still hurt the opposition if we break out with pace as they are less likely to be man tight, than if we leave a man on the half way line.
My thoughts but anyhow no doubt they will have some stats on it.

Early days but SR seems to have a professionalism and tactical nous we haven't had before in the conference.

I was thinking the same...they had an absolute load of corners but never seemed to threaten with them and get free headers. That and three clean sheets in a row suggests it might be a defensive tactic that’s working? I guess it limits the chance of a counter attack, but the main thing about defending corners has to be to not to concede.

Whilst I agree with the praise for SR a little mention for Barrow to on the sidelines barking out orders.

I bet he is absolutley buzzin after the Maidenhead game.
Keep it up Mr R, it’s amazing what a good start can do for the confidence.

And to think that some of the frothing brigade were calling for him to be sacked before the season started so we could get an experienced manager in.
Still early days yet so can’t get carried away with ourselves but he’s doing a good job so far and the new signings have certainly made an impact.
