It's history now and doesn't matter in the scheme of things but last season was progress, DK got good players signed up on 2 year deals, made us hard to beat and that hopefully has been a good foundation and given SDR a good starting point. It may have been difficult for some to endure but it probably needed to happen. Touch wood SDR has added that attacking quality we were short of last term but as many have said it very very early days, a week is long time in football and things can change very quickly. We are yet to reach the form GM's team showed pre-Xmas but we now have some fire power and already showed we have quality where it matters i.e. both ends of the pitch. Defensively we know what we have got, up top is, it's very much an unknown, but that will just add to the excitement if SDR can get that right.

My only worry is how the team will respond to going behind in a game ..... if we ever concede a goal again

Those tests will come but for now we have 2 strikers who will be growing in confidence and SDR has plenty of variable options on the bench.

Absolutely. Just as it would have been important not to get too carried away if we hadn't won a game yet.

Well said. We need to thank Keates for this solid defence which SDR appears to be building on attack wise now. Kinda like Wenger built on George Graham’s amazing defence. Just need to sign a load of French youngsters now and we are sorted.

Great start, much better than I expected. Love being proven wrong when Wrexham win.

Hope we keep it up,and in may as champions I will eat tons of humble pie! Here is hoping :-)

We have had the rub of the green so far so it will be interesting if we do go a goal behind. Last season it was virtually game over but now we have the attacking options to overturn a deficit.

I like to think SR, who could play defensive roles in the middle & on both flanks as a player is imparting his knowledge on to the team.
He can only improve on last years defence I think with all his knowledge.

Rutherford in CM looks an inspired move. He’s always hard working and neat and tidy on the ball, give him a job to do and he’ll carry it out to the letter. He struggles to beat a man when playing as a winger and he can’t shoot so it’s pretty pointless playing him there unless there’s a tricky winger to deal with on the opposition.

I’d argue it probably only works when you’ve a physical beast next to him like Wright though.
