Re: Religion and Wrexham AFC
Didn't he flatten the Wrexham keeper? Dave Gaskell If I recall.. not one of his more christian acts. That said Gaskell dished it out too on a number of occasions. All this crap with players crossing themselves and praying is mainly down to copying the growing trend of those playing up to match of the day.. along with Pogba style haircuts. Would never of happened in Joey's days. Lob! (Load of bollocks)

Re: Religion and Wrexham AFC
There is far more to this religious link than initially meets the eye.
Ever wondered why Jesus choose 12 disciples? (only one sub.in those days) Judas was clearly pissed off through not getting enough game time and turned on his manager, Jesus. Jesus himself pulled off the greatest 'come back' of all time over the Easter fixtures - crucified out of sight on Friday but back in training on the Monday. Okay, the Italians were always too strong for them but they did pull in the crowds to home fixtures at 'The Mount'. Pies were off and they didn't offer chips for a dracma, but the halftime fish butties went down a treat. Jesus always said there would be a 'second coming' when he returned to management, I wonder did he change his name to Sam? |

Re: Religion and Wrexham AFC
Politics and religion are very similar. We choose what to believe in and, generally, it cannot be proven or dis proven. When I attend the Racecourse on a Saturday afternoon, I would like it to be a haven where politics and religion are not involved. It’s morally responsible to believe in something though.
