I've started this as current player Big Mike Fondop talks about his thanks to god in his interviews. I remember Marvin Andrews was religious. Many others?
I'm a big fan of American Football. And I always find it completely odd that the players thank God. It/they seemingly ignore all the hardwork, sacrifice and dedication they and their family have had to put in along the way.

Odd. But live and let live and all that.

For me Religion & Politics are the biggest cause of wars and racial hatred, I've no time for either of them, whilst I get the thread surely it should be in off topic.

Agree with your first sentence completely. But I think it is a good, original idea for a thread as it gives an insight into what drives some players. If you are truly religious it is your prime motivator and will profoundly affect even what goes on the pitch. Remember Joey doing his cross thing every game.

We have been a Christian country for hundreds of years, prayed in school and sang hymns as kids. It's a low key religion and not rammed down our throats, unlike, perhaps, some other religions. However, keep anything overt away from football. It still baffles me why we display a Palestinian Flag on The Kop. Imagine the furore from some of our brethren, if we were to display an Israeli flag.

But we were Pagan before those Christians came along and forced it on us!

Why on earth would a thread about Wrexham players’ beliefs be off topic?

Oh, go on then, I'll bite. What has the Palestinian flag got to do with religion? That association is something you presume.
