Never liked Newport, horrible place, rat-arsed club and not really much sympathy for them.

But ridiculous to say they "over celebrated" the play off final. How can you over celebrate that. We would have been exactly the same, I would have loved to rub it in their faces if we had won that game

Obviously you're exaggerating the numbers but, yes, for a club like ours to re-establish itself as a league club and grow its core fan base, having lost an entire generation of supporters due to firstly going bankrupt (something you were close to doing yourselves) and then being "exiled" by the FAW, it's more than likely going to need some private investment.

The bigger risk we face isn't this potential change of ownership, it's the fact that our lease agreement at Rodney Parade ends in four years and it's becoming increasingly clear that the FAW don't particularly want to have a football tenant there. So if you really want to cream your pants at the prospect of a fellow Welsh club going to the wall like you so nearly did, may I suggest you divert your attention towards that - maybe you could give us some advice on how to get the taxpayer to pay for our accommodation?
I for one,get no pleasure from your plight mate.I wanna see all the Welsh clubs playing in the English pyramid do well. Here's hoping you get something sorted soon.

The line about 'The taxpayer' is a bit mystifying though!.

Amazing how many are critical of the town yet expect the business community to support their club.

Through spiteful gloating over the opposition, in person and on here too.

When I was walking out of Wembley with my wife and kids we seen a couple of kids crying and the father was holding them, some Newport fans in the above section were shouting and laughing pointing at these kids who must of only been about 6-8 years. Personally, don’t care what happens either way to them but don’t ask for a donation for the bucket.

Only the Welsh could argue amongst themselves at this level
Is there any unity in Wales or is everyone just locally insular?
I thought the Welsh disliked the English but seems they are not fond of each other either
You sound like Queenslanders!

The 'advice' we would give is to explore each and every avenue of finance - including a perfectly legitimate agreement with a local university who ,rest assured, are doing us no favor's. Looking at your fanbase my honest evaluation would be a realistic drop into the conference maybe even conference south and build from there. Private investment in the lower echelons of football is getting harder to find as all the iron filings head towards the magnet that is the premier league.
I doubt there are many serious posters on here who would 'cream' their 'pants' at another welsh club going to the wall as you so eloquently suggest. However as our local rivals from across the border discovered - if you have a fan based model then you can only spend according to your fan base anything else is unsustainable unless of course you know 6 numbers for Friday night
