Fortunately the positivity around the club far outweighs the negativity from yourself and Birdy.
Very little difference in encouraging Pounds for points with a list of contributors in the programme and a work based poster than firms sponsoring the team, match or match ball. I'm sure Ivor Williams is unlikely to benefit financially from their Shirt deal but it gives them publicity.
Board adverts around the ground are hardly noticed but still attract sponsors.
There is a great deal of good will that WAFC can tap into and there are hundreds of firms employing Wrexham fans who haven't yet bought into the progress the club is making. New revenue streams are needed going forward to avoid "milking the same old cow" and the wider the net is cast, the more fish we catch.

But pounds for points is technically what the fans are already paying for, it’s literally asking for more money for something which the club is budgeted for anyway.

Firms sponsoring games actually gives them the opportunity to bring a few colleagues or clients to the game when this idea IMO is just asking for money for whatever the club does in the league. If you offered something in return this may work, but to just give money for free I don’t think many will or they would just donate money anyway.

As you know we have sponsored 3 player kits this season. This costs £20 per entry. I'm not suggesting we do this but 3,000 x £20 would put a tidy sum in the WST or WAFC coffers.

Happy to be involved and log those are prepared to donate but will need help collecting the money!!

Exactly I said this in another post. The season we just missed promotion how many joined then? And the quote Dave makes become club owners wow it sound good but in reality it's just a soundbite.

I do understand what he is saying but how do you convince them to join?

It’s not club owners though is it, just a marketing gimick but it’s all that we have at present. Quay reds idea would be better than targeting members as if they wanted to be one after years of trust ownership they would be one!

Last season was the end the season ticket for me, a lot are getting carried away already but I am keeping my feet firmly on the ground it’s 5 games in things can change rapidly like last season 1st to 10th in the blink of an eye.

It's not mandatory Birdy............we need this - obviously other revenue streams would help - if we can get them

Agree with you my feet are firmly planted it's not even the end of the first month yet, but lets at least enjoy the ride we are playing the best football since Gary Mills first 3 months & we all know how that ended up, Xmas & January usually knocks us off track, last season the clappers had us winning the league a formality in October.

But having said that it's nice to see the feel good factor return to the Racecourse long may it continue 😀

I think people will if the benefits to the club they want to be successful are explained, they are asked the question, or a form is put in their hand. Either way we will possibly have more non-members than club members in the ground in Saturday and it's a great opportunity to kick start a campaign for growth.
