Keates signed the best two players in non league football and at the moment it seems to be working out.

Walsall fans might disagree.

His approach was to make us hard to beat at it worked. It got us to the top of the league with 3 months to go. Had he stayed we’d have finished top 7. No doubt about that.

His plan was to build a stable base and the budget was weighted accordingly. At Walsall, he has more money therefore can get better players...like Cook.

Pure speculation, we were dire before Keates left, he knew we were a sinking ship. I called it way before in October.

Bit of a contradiction. It's also 'pure speculation' he knew we was a sinking ship and was going to finish mid table.

Exactly, we were in great form sitting top of the league towards the end of November. But you called a sinking ship back in October
