If Roberts is ok for Monday and Jennings us out for a bit we don't need to loan a left back
Just play Carrington there, he's done the job there before

Thought it was a good game and should’ve been out of site before the dubious penalty which none of their players appealed for as far as I could see!! Thought the crowd was behind the lads so don’t understand the comment relating to this?!

Carra does a good job but missed Jennings' attacking threat. It maybe fine for a couple of games so depends on the injury and the fact the only cover is a young centre back or Deverdics who has played there before.

You would think that the big crowd of 5,714 would lift and inspire our team to a better performance but perhaps it has the same effect for the opposition too - especially if they are used to playing infront of gates of a thousand or so.

As for the result it was a strange match in many ways - I thought it was a miracle we went in at half time leading. Bromley were often first to all the second balls especially in the middle of the park, very similar to Boreham Wood.

Bromley with better finishing could have scored 2 goals before half time with mis placed headed efforts that went either side of the posts - some of the marking for their numerous corners was totally missing.

In fairness they had a touch of luck but never gave up and kept pinging balls high into our box and put lots of corners in - not sure about the penalty it was so long away from the Tech End but eventually they probably got what they deserved from the match.

We just didn't get going today and were not fluent for any prolonged period in the match - disjointed and missed Rutherford - Deverdics appears very weak every time I see him.
The loss of Jennings to what surely is a hamstring injury caused too much disruption to our back four which was already missing Roberts - so Carrington makes the switch from right to left back and Tharme comes on as sub to take up the right flank (he did OK defensively but needlessly gave away possession on the offensive).

Given what we had out on the park I thought Ricketts did very well with his substitutions - Pyke replaced Beavon who was largely ineffective and Young replaced Deverdics.

Perhaps at the death we should have been better at seeing the match out for a 2 - 1 win with barely just over 4 minutes of added time remaining but we gave away the ball far too easily when we should have simply played down the clock.

Agree with this, we never seem to do it.

Get the old Liverpool video's from the 70's out. When seeing the game out, there is nothing wrong with forward, back across the back four, forward and back etc etc, if we have the ball, they can't score.

Didn't look like scoring? First half they won nearly every header in our box. If they had been on target it could of been a different outcome a draw was probably a fair result, but yes games are more enjoyable now.

I can't recall Lainton having a save to make. To be fair though apart from Fondops second chip their keeper wasn't tested much either.
