Default Re: Upcoming Critical Fixtures

You can't say what games are critical at this stage of the season for us or the teams below us, as always in this league everyone is capable of beating eachother, final league places aren't decided after half a dozen games.

We are a good way off the finished article yet, we're not dominating games yesterday was a perfect example we can only look at ourselves sod what other teams do take each game at a time, look to improve I don't think the midfield is quite good enough yet and I suspect Ricketts doesn't either that's why he has signed that Burgess lad.

Lot of young lads in this team and they will lack consistency Maguire-Drew yesterday is one example his lack of experience showed yesterday I thought his overall game was poor and he was to blame for the corner leading to the equaliser.

To offer an alternative view, Tranmere were well off the pace and did not win the league. They were promoted via the POs, which are a lottery.

If we drop points unnecessarily now they are still points dropped. In an ideal world, we need to build up a points buffer now, so when the inevitable bad run occurs we have some breathing space.

Realistically, we are WIP and most should be happy with our start, especially as we are not yet playing well for 90 minutes yet still picking up points.

Points mean prizes, and wins bring the most points! I don’t suppose SDR would be happy with too many draws or defeats, but only guessing.

2 points dropped yeaterday so we agreed need something on Monday,. The league table means absolutely nothing for another month or so, but winning breeds confidence and sometimes winning when we are not at our best is what starts some consistent form.. We are very much WIP and although we have more potential match winners and goals in us this season. Can we get that dogged mentality that grinds out points when we are not flowing or scrap for points when we go under pressure. We are still miles away from the 98 point team, who you just knew would be at it every week.

Don’t want to compare us to an ultimately failing side. What the current table means is we have to lose and others win to be overhauled- so from that perspective it’s relevant. It’s reward for working hard and taking chances. The their relevance is 5714 yesterday- dosh in the pot

Given the way things have progressed in the Conference years, we’re better leaders than chasers

We won’t win the league because we are not good enough to get that kind of consistency over a whole season. If we stay around the top 7 till Christmas, and strengthen by using a little bit of the Ward money in January, we really should make the play offs.
