I cannot understand why Deverdics started today. The team had played really well and he got a starting place. I’ve yet to see him have any influence on a match, basically he’s s**t and should be replaced by Young or Rutgers

Neither were match fit so it was forced I imagine. Not sure how match fit Burgess is.

Rutherford is injured, Young is coming back from an injury so is a bit short of fitness. The manager decides and he's on the money so far.

Deverdics looked a bit off the pace today but unfair to single him out for a less than convincing team performance. It was his first game back and he wasn't the only player off the pace and only Lainton, Manny and Wright were really at it today. We probably missed Rutherford's industry and despite young Tharme slotting in well we lost all attacking threat from the full backs with Carra going on to the left, which left us looking quite ordinary at times. In other games we have had me the rub of the green, today it didn't quite go for us, but we are still work in progress.

Deverdics has looked off the pace every time he’s played for us since he signed. If he hadn’t been given an 18 month contract I’m convinced Ricketts would have binned him off straight away. Hopefully with Young fit and Burgess up to speed we won’t see much more of him.

What does he offer? I mean really come on lets be totally open here. Fitness has fk all to do with not doing the basics.

Agreed Deverdics didn't do his prospects of getting a run of games in the team, yesterday, especially when Young, Burgess and even Ruthers are competing with Wright and Summerfield for 1 of the 3 spaces. Technically he looks the one who can unlock teams, if SDR can get him at it and can get him higher up the pitch. He isnt going to win many headers or fly round the pitch put tackles in, but don't write him off after 1 appearance in a below par team performance.

2 games in 3 days, Solihull looking the tougher test on paper, of course you give him a run.

We'll need the whole squad this season not 11 players.
He's not a tough tackling midfielder, never has been, just needs to play further up the field.
