Doesn't he have a hobby and he is posting his musings on here(a website designed for people to comment on his hobby) for any comments people wish to make. By all means disagree, but theres nothing wrong with saying it.

Re: Training Regime and Tactics
I personally think the OP has a valid point.
Say all you want about Solihull disrupting the flow of the game/time wasting/‘doing a number on us’. The fact still remains that, apart from the first 5-10 minutes of the 2nd half, we lacked any basic footballing ability and nous. No retention of possession, rather playing straight into their hands and hoofing long towards their giant back four. There didn’t seem to be any coherent shape or plan to counter Solihull’s approach to the game. Substitutions seemed bizarre. Despite having a poor game, Summerfield was a little more effective than Young and Fondop certainly carried a greater goal threat than Holroyd, who was useless from the first whistle. A team of bullies/time-wasters etc... is still no excuse not to be able to show basics of passing on the floor, control, movement, communication, giving your team-mate some options when attempting to retain possession. Football’s a simple game - if the opposition don’t have the ball they can’t hurt you, regardless if they’re big bruisers or cultured footballers. |

Re: Training Regime and Tactics
Forty six matches is a long season! Blips are bound to happen especially when ambitious opposing teams raise their game! Solihull away was always going to be a tough hurdle. Lessons to be learned then move on is the Sam Ricketts' sensible viewpoint!
