There was a time when I used to really appreciate reading RP - even during lean times, but no more!
I posed a question that given our lethargy on Saturday and the increasing numbers of injuries so far this season whether the training regime is quite right and, given our poor performance whether the tactical instructions were appropriate. That is a legitimate question. I didn't make any pronouncements or even answer the question myself.
Yet for the most part (with some exceptions) the replies to the question i asked were hostile and unnecessarily personal or derogatory.
Whatever happened to rational argument and debate in which Red Passion was once excelled. Frankly I shan't ever bother to submit a comment to Red Passion again and will withdraw entirely very shortly.
Perhaps the question i should have asked ought to have been Is It Time We Had A New Bulletin Board Where Everyone's Point of View is Respected ?

The internets broken everything mbarnes, much better to time travel back to when you used to pop your head in at Colliers each Monday morning and relay your feedback personally. I’m certain your scout reports likening Craig Skinner to a charity shop manager with no staff are still cherished.

Was it ever this reactionary on the old Trundlemania list?

You have a valid point. Ignore the hostility ; in most cases its the usual crew. who we are all tired of.

Did he say that?

Good judge of character, if so.

RP is clearly not for the sensitive. Mbarnes has a viewpoint, and good for him in getting it out. If he can’t accept the response from RPers, then perhaps “falling on his sword” is the best option. I got into a similar state over Facebook, three years ago. I walked away from it and don’t miss it at all.
RP is not like chatting to someone on a bus or in a pub. At the press of a button from the armchair, folks can be fly or rude. It’s not the real world.
