Re: Advice needed
There are a couple of kids who sit 3 rows down from me. I reckon they are 5 or 6 ish. They bring a handheld gaming device and play that and watch a bit of the footy. I would say you would struggle with sitting through 90 mins of footy at that age

Re: Advice needed
My daughter's first game was QPR away when she was 4. The only scarves left in the shop at the time were jumbo ones, 6ft long. Had to wrap it around her so many times she looked like a cartoon mummy.
She fell asleep in the 2nd half so I laid her on the spare seats in the row in front of us. I asked her after if she enjoyed it and she said "yes, but it was a bit too shouty" No help to the OP, just a special memory.

Re: Advice needed
I waited until my kids were 5 before I took them, when my eldest lad first went, for his first few games the opposition had a player sent off, I could never leave him at home after that!
Though at times under Morell and Wilkin, the football was that bad I threatened him that if he didn't behave himself in the week then I would take him to the football again next week. |

Re: Advice needed
I unwittingly spent the first half of the Bromley match in what must have been the family area.
It was more like a morgue than anything though. You and your youngster will be fine in there, especially if either of you need your afternoon nap. That is even if the football is entertaining!! |

Re: Advice needed
Imho - it’s a bit young - he probably won’t enjoy it - sitting in one place for nearly two hours is hard work for a toddler - and therefore you probably won’t enjoy it - great to see the next generation at the racecourse tho

Re: Advice needed
Hats off to thise fans who are trying to bring the next generation of fans.
My 8 year old grandson has had a ST (£15 for the season) for a few years but has only come to the odd game. He watches the first half then plays games on his tablet second half. He isnt overly interested in football yet and I wouldn't push him but just trying to make sure he knows being a football supporting fan doesn't mean watching PL games on tv and claiming to be a Man U or L'pool supporter.
