Could I just ask why have you always persistently called Olly Marx “Olly Murs”?
I understand you didn’t rate him, neither did I, but surely calling him Olly Murs all the time is just wrong and a little patronising?

His timing is spot on with headers. Very intelligent footballer and a great touch. He's not been brought in to score goals but more to create chances.

The ratings do show a diverse range for various players.

I dont think there was an 8/10 on show today at all but a few were on 7s giving a better all round performance.
I thought Drew was off his game and Wrights control and passing was poor.
Subs gave us a bit more energy towards the end.

As for Deverdics performance then its hard to even justify a positive. Lightweight, shirked tackles and any direct involvement and was not willing to run more than 2 yards for a pass or to take someone on.

Still plenty to work to be done but a huge performance step from Monday.
We will need to be better on Tuesday I think.

Lainton 7 safe

Robert 8 thought he had one of his best games for us
Tharme 7 good performance
Pearson 7 standard
Carrington 7 cracking performance defensively but being wrong footed was glaring in attack

Wright 6 did his job
Summerfield 8 motm a cracking, do it all performance
Deverdics 3 his time is surely up give our other midfield players

Beavon 7 lovely finish
Fondop 6 should have scored but his size caused them problems
Maguire drew 7 poor first half, better second and great goal - the new Wes York

Subs
Young - got us going
Ruthers - fine job out of position
Pyke - great having big option on the bench

I think Tharme was an 8, I would have put him man of the match. He was rock solid today and some of his passing was excellent. He has grown in confidence since he came into the side for Jennings.
