the same way he scores most players low... for a reaction probably basing his scores on radio commentary also. |

Re: Aldershot Ratings
Lainton 7 - Another solid performance. I feel very secure with him in goal.
Roberts 7 - Much better today and also did well for the last 10 mins alongside Pearson. Pearson 7 - Solid performance against a rugged centre forward. Tharme 8- My motm. Looked very cool and calm on the ball didn't miss a header. Carrington 8- Was targeted with high balls in the 1st half and dealt with it well. Considering this is his least natural position he was very good. Akil 5- Not his best day, gave the ball away far too much. However he has had a great start to the season and is allowed an off day. Deverdics 1 - Literally the only thing I noticed him doing was giving the ball away and allowing them to break not long before he went off. Ricketts went ape with him. Summerfield 7- quality set pieces and worked hard. Tired a bit 2nd half but not surprised given his work rate. JMD 3- He has really gone off the boil. 1st half he was anonymous, 2nd half slightly better and didn't give up on his run for the goal. MTF 6- Put himself about a bit better today and no protection from the ref. Decision making needs to be better. Beavon 7- Took his header well and didn't stop running. A clever player. Re: Aldershot Ratings
Lainton 7 Didn't have much to do but feel confident with him in goal.
Roberts 8 Thought he was MOM on Monday and another good game today. Carrington 7 Another solid game. Pearson 8 Superb as always Tharme 8 Very impressed, good defensively but also has an eye for a pass. Deverdics 5 Yet to see him have a good game regardless of what position hes played. JMD 5 Very quiet today but one of those players you keep on as hes always likely to score. Wright 7 Worked very hard, just needs to work on his passing. Summerfield 8 Another hard working performance and what a set piece taker! Beavon 8 Best game for us, put in a Rutherford-esque shift and great he's off the mark. Fondop 6 Rather quiet but like JMD always likely to score a goal from nothing Young 7 Full of energy and drive, must start on Tuesday Rutherford 7 Filled in well out of position. Pyke 6 Didn't have much time to make an impact. |

Re: Aldershot Ratings
Lainton 7- another solid display.
Roberts 7 - improved performance these last 2 games. Carrington 7- the much hammered Mr Reliable a hardworking honest player. Tharme 7- my we have an excellent prospect here great vision for a young player, pinpoint passing most of the time he puts a shift in cramp got him today. Pearson 7- another captains display his continually getting needlessly booked is a concern, but that's what makes him so good he is a winner who hates losing. Wright 6- steady game he wants the ball but needs to work on his passing. Deverdics 5- looks to be playing with an injury all the midfielders at Sam's disposal he must see something in him to start him. Summerfield 8 - our engine room today still does the odd silly thing but a very good game. JMD 5- looked like he thought he was still at Solihull on a day off did zilch except for the goal he got an extra mark for that. Fondup 6- A lot to learn his inexperience showed today. Beavon 8 MOM - he was everywhere today a Rutherford with more skill for a short arse he gets his head to a lot of balls, we look better and more creative with him upfront, his fitness is improving with more game time. Subs Young 7- he added much needed energy in midfield when Deverdics went off. Rutherford 6- done well covering RB Pyke 6- put himself about well. All in all first half was even neither side looked like scoring, second half we pretty much controlled the game, Aldershot look a shadow of last season's team, but at least they still play football on the ground not in the air. Tuesday night the 12th man will be needed. Posted via mobile theme |

Re: Aldershot Ratings
Tharme has a good eye for a pass from the back, very confident too and is vocal. Obviously Manny is a big loss but great chance for Doug to show what he can do, will also be great for him having ‘on the job’ training playing with Shaun who no doubt keeps him honest during the game.

Re: Aldershot Ratings
Lainton (7) Not really tried, but improved kicking.
Roberts (8) Thought that was his best game so far. My MOTM. Tharme (8) Great prospect but SDR needs to manage his game time to avoid burn out. Pearson (7) Another gobby yellow. Think he’s carrying a knock. Carrington (7) Started poorly but stuck at it. Summerfield (7) Had a great first-half but tired in the second. Nevertheless, his distribution is very good. Wright (6) Big and strong but again let down by poor positional play and passing. If he can improve those 2 weaknesses he will be immense. Deverdics (3) Slow and mostly ineffective. Is it lack of ability, application or fitness? I don’t know. But not good enough to start. Beavon (7) Don’t think many folk yet appreciate what this honest pro brings to the team. Good goal! Fondop-Talom (6) Yes he’s raw, and continues to frustrate; but he’s a handful for big, burly defenders, and should improve as his fitness improves. Maguire-Drew (4) I thought him a passenger strolling on the deck of the Titanic for most of the game. But he pops up to score a goal and has undoubted ability. Needs to up his work-rate and be more bolder taking on defenders. Subs: Young (6) I like him. Brings energy to the midfield. Pyke (6) Again has more ability than he shows. Might start on Tuesday. Rutherford (6) Good to see him back, and showed his versatility by slotting in at RB, where he was OK but caught out a few times. We effectively had below par performances from 2 players on Saturday, which isn’t good enough if we want to be champions. Nevertheless, a good 3 points and top of the pile. We are still a long way short of where we need to be, but not a bad start!
