Such an improvement on last season. Seen two good sides now Flyde and Halifax, Luckily for us neither had their shooting boots on, But in both games neither did we. It's going to be a tough season there will be no easy games, But I am confident that we can only improve, Difficult to say so early where we will be at the end of the season.

Many times the only alternative would have been to lump towards their big centre backs. Other than the one missed placed pass between Lawlor & Carra they looked reasinably comfortable.
They looked a lot more comfortable than Petr Cech and the Arsenal back four last Sunday!

Don't think that we were linked with him. He was a player that I suggested we should sign though

As for Quigley rumours, he is on loan at Port Vale for a season so unless we are looking to buy him I doubt we will see him in a Wrexham shirt this season.
(assuming that Blackpool have the recall in the loan if an offer comes in for a player?)
Seems a waste of a season for him if he isn't going to get into the Vale squad.
If it were me I would be knocking on the managers door and say fair enough if you don't want/need me now then let me return back to the seaside and I can look at other options.

Surely Darlo can pull some strings here.....

It didn't really help that no-one was dropping from midfield to claim the ball and there was a large gap between defence and attack with no-one in it. Thought Lawlor in particular had a bit of a stinker passing wise though.

Yes. There was a huge gap between midfield and the front 3 until Young came on. He should start on Saturday.

Quite - no point in trying a risky pass or just hoofing, need to retain possession.

I thought at times we turned back too quickly when on the counter and killed our own momentum. But other times Halifax were just very well organised and pressed us well, forced us into our own half.

Oh and Carrington played superb despite Lawlor being shaky. Tricky strikers to deal with but he was calm and collected, forced them out a lot.
Lawlor particularly shaky. Was he playing because our CH as well as Manny was injured or was he the selected choice?.On that performance, I know which one I would prefer. He was'nt playing.
