Neither side did quite enough to win. Thought we tried to pass the ball a lot more tonight.
Point gained IMO.

Didnt quite have the urgency from a few players and lacked cutting edge in final 3rd.
They had some pace up front and we wont face much quicker all season.

Loads saying was an entertaining game... So I must of missed something.

I'm usually not massively critical but really found it quite a frustrating and boring watch. Lots of hoofball, little creativity, lots of negative play. Halifax being good defensively. The ref not giving us alot and Halifax rough housing our forwards off the ball cleverly. Pretty quiet from the crowd too.

Is there anything to this Quigley rumour?

We played well, Halifax are a decent outfit this season but seemed to tire later on but we're not quite good enough in final 3rd yet.

Beavon definitely isn’t an impact player. He’s ok but was never prolific even in his prime.
I feel we’d benefit more from a younger athletic forward coming in off the bench.
Hinds perhaps ?

That was the only downside to the subs really, I didn’t think Beavon or Holroyd were going to improve our chances of finding a goal

I must admit I think the opposite, thought he added something and looked Moreno likely to make something happen than others did.

Halifax were one of the hardest working teams I've seen at the Racecourse for a while and will have a good season if they can keep up that tempo.

For me JMD is a luxury player and just drifted through the game. It's no coincidence that we looked more lively once Beavon came on in the last 20 and he needs to start the next game.

It must have been a good goal then because he got everything else wrong!
