We do need a more prolific striker all the teams who have won this league score lots of goals and mostly have a potent striker.

Fondop is trying his best.
He works his socks off every game.
He needs someone like Scott Quigley (4 appearances gorfor Port Vale scoring 0 goals ) to play off.
They could form a formidable partnership.they would provide a physical presence which was missing at Sollihull and again last night.
Beavon is not the answer ( he will not score goals).Fondop is too isolated from the other so called strikers. There is no one to pick up the knock on balls.
To gain promotion we need to score around 75 to 80 goals. Assuming 2 strikers score 25 each with the rest coming from midfield and defence.
I would sign Quigley like a shot if he was avsilable.
Gary Bennett played off Steve Watkin they were never far apart. We are too nice up top.
Sometimes you need s bit of creative muscle.

Without question ( certainly more so than CB was unless Manny ia out for the season), someone like Quigley would be ideal.

Fondop is doing ever so well, but it's a big ask and too much of an ask to expect him to be the the focal point of the attack for 40 odd games.

If Fondop spent as much time trying to play football as he does complaining to the referee, we would have one hell of a player.
He is much better at scoring goals than he is at conning the ref.

At the moment we don't have enough scoring options. Goals for is 13 but I doubt if the midfield are going to contribute more than 10-12 between them and that includes Summerfield, Wright, Young and Rutherford combined (and that's optimistic).

MTF really has to concentrate on his game and stop with all his antics, JMD needs to up his work rate and I think Pike just need to try and get in a few more scoring positions as his work rate looks fine.

until wright is replaced with a box to box midfielder we will not win the league. we have a 5 man defence and he gives the other midfield no options going forward then we struggle to get at the opposition .

he is good at breaking up play but we are to rigid with a five man defence .

only jennings is trying to get forward to help in attack .

Halifax are a good physical side but nothing special .

we must do better breaking teams down

big crowd syndrome strikes again

Matt Rhead could hold the ball up for us, Fondop can't. From the games I've seen of him at home he's been pretty awful.
