I'm sorry but it's my opinion. Please note, the word 'team' in the first line should read 'club'.
Maybe we should ask for Scottish, Irish or French referees?

The ref let a lot of challenges go and for both sides. No bookings either.
Think he tried to keep the game flowing as much as possible.
Both linesmen as poor as usual though.

The ref was Joe Hull - no complaints from me.

Halifax goal looked good at first glance - apparently their player used Akil Wright's shoulders to climb above him and head it in the net.

Not a single yellow card - for a 0 - 0 it was a relatively fast cracker.

Ever since linesmen have been called assistant referees they appear to have stopped actually assisting. As for last night's ref, I didn't think he was too bad. Very little protection for Fondop maybe.

Not the worst we've ever had in this league (Jarnail Singh, anyone) and not the best, but better than most.

It was Gurnam Singh and it was the football league.

Agree. Compared with the clown who officated the Bromley game last nights ref did not cost us 2 points. Decisions, right or wrong, seemed to go both ways. We cant expect perfection at this level and must not allow our opinions of refereeing to become an excuse for our own deficiencies.

I have thought this a lot. i'm actually English myself but season ticket holder at Wrexham for the past 15 years at least. Like you said theres many english players in our squad and English people working at the club. I cant help but feel an english ref may see it i this way. probably just us being paranoid though....
