Actually think if we did get promoted it would be easier than the conference. Also attendance wise when you look at L2 with how many local derbys we would have financially with increased attendance alone we would be in a much better position.

I personally prefer the Ranieri approach when Leicester won the title. Let's accumulate the points to avoid relegation first then take it from there. We are doing well but so are half a dozen other teams.

We are not in a bubble on our own. If we were then we would have won the title the year Fleetwood were Champions.

Aim for the top yes but it is a marathon not a sprint. If we are second in late April just one point behind the leaders then I'll get excited. We do have a knack of finding a way to cock it up.

Estimates were promotion would bring in ~ £1m additional revenue per season, mainly from TV rights, solidarity payments and grants from the EFL.

With FFP as well it should look good when we get there. I think what people are getting at is even with all this, it would typical if we went down still, probably because the league finally agreed to 3 up 3 down or something

Tho i am excited with the side we have & thr quality we have. As well as a manager who seems to be getting on very well.. its just like us for something to go wrong aint it? Pearson to get injured.. few of our players to be nabbed by other sides. Even maybe Ricketts to be poached, or we will just flip it up all by ourselves. It's just the Wrexham way ain't it?

Thanks for the awesome feedback to this thread.

As we go for the Champions spot.

We have a couple of RP's Wrexham AFC Jedis aboard the Millennium Falcon.

Our club has been in existence for over 154 years.

The maximum the eldest among us could have realistically spent going to the Racecourse is say 90 years. That still leaves a 64 year gap unseen by modern day fans.

Further to that...let's say the average loyalty in our fanbase is around 20 - 25 years, where our fans have, on average, stayed actively loyal to Wrexham and kept going to the games.

And say most people's memory of the club culture of Wrexham AFC is say... based on the last 10 years, as that is the period most fans can remember the most clearly.

(We might need Statto to help with these statistics.)

Then making a judgment on the Wrexham Way based on recent history is obviously slightly skewed.

And suggesting the Wrexham Way is ...

Typical Wrexham.

For it to all go wrong.

To all go tits up.

To end up in disaster.

Is really a skewed judgement of our club's entire existence, that has just been formulated over recent times...

It's a mindset. To either keep perpetuating and give reason to come true or to break free of and to change.

It interests me that 'some fans' think the results on the pitch have nothing to do with them and it all comes down to the manager and the players. It's interesting that 'some fans' don't seem to recognise the incredible influence they can actually have on the game.

When a player scores a goal. The first thing they do is run over to the fans. To seek their adulation. That shows how important the fans are to the players.

If you were to take the entire crowd away from a professional football game it would be interesting to watch what the players do when they score a goal. When there is no noise. Just a wall of silence.

Become a champion fan.

We are Wrexham.

We play with no fear.

We're still in the mix for automatic promotion. I'd say at least 12 teams are already out of it.
